DIY Flooring - How to Install Carpet

One of the most daunting DIY flooring projects is installing carpet. Many people are intimidated by the thought of installing carpet, feeling that it is beyond their abilities. This is in large part due to the special tools required. However, installing carpet is actually a fairly easy DIY flooring project and by doing it yourself, you can save a great deal of money in installation costs.

Tools Installing carpet does require some specialty tools. These include a knee stretcher, power stretcher, seam iron, seam roller, wall trimmer, and stair tool. However these tools can be rented from your local rental store. This is much more cost effective than purchasing the tools.

You will also need a carpet knife, hammer, tack strips (also referred to as tackless strips), staple gun or hammer stapler, and carpet seam tape.

Preparing Floor It is very important to prepare the floor properly before installing carpet. Carpeting can be installed over cement, wood, or linoleum. However, if the flooring is damaged, it is best to remove or replace the damaged subfloor. Take this time to repair any squeaks in the floor due to loose boards.

The subfloor should be cleaned thoroughly before installing your carpet. You don't want any dirt or debris underneath which can damage the padding and carpet. You should remove any floor registers and if you have doors which swing into the room, it is easier to remove the doors rather than try to work around them.

Installing the Padding Before installing the padding, you will need to install tack strips along the edges of the walls and around floor register openings. Do not install the tack strips in front of door openings. These strips should be installed about 1/4" from the wall with the tacks leaning towards the wall. Most tack strips will already have nails in them for nailing to the flooring. If you have a cement floor, you may need to glue the strips down using a masonry adhesive.

The next step is to roll out your padding, starting along one wall. Overlap the tack strips by approximately 3-4 inches, making sure the padding remains smooth and straight without bunching. Use a staple gun or hammer stapler to staple the padding to the carpet, placing a staple every 6 inches or so. If you have a cement floor or do not want to damage the underlying floor, you can use adhesive to installing the padding.

You can use duct tape along the seams to help keep them from bunching when you install the carpet. When you have completed the padding installation, use a utility or carpet knife to cut the padding along the tack strips, making sure that the padding does not overlap the strips. Cut out any floor register openings along the tack strips as well.

Installing Carpet Roll the carpet out in the room, again starting along one wall and leaving 3-4 inches of overlap along the walls. Make sure to keep the carpet straight and be careful not to allow any of the padding to bunch up under the carpet. Cut out the floor register openings, also leaving a couple inches of overlap over the tack strips.

If you have more than one section of carpet, you will have to create a seam. Place seam tape beneath the seam with the adhesive side up. Heat your seam iron and then starting at on wall, place the iron directly onto the seam tape until the adhesive melts and press both edges of carpet onto the tape. Use a seam roller or other smooth heavy object to press the seam together and into the adhesive. Follow this process along the entire seam, doing a small section at a time.

Starting in one corner, use the knee stretcher to install the carpet to the tack strip. Place the head of the kicker a few inches from the wall and kick the pad sharply with your knee. Repeat this process every 6-8 inches along the wall. Once that is complete, we will use the power stretcher to install the carpet along the other walls. Place one end of the power stretcher along the wall you just completed and the head of the stretcher along the opposite wall, about 4-6 inches from the wall. When you push the lever down, the carpet is stretched over the tack strips. Repeat this along the entire wall as well as the remaining walls. Use the knee kicker to stretch the carpet over the tacks along any floor register openings.

When the carpet has been attached to all of the tack strips, use the wall trimmer to cut the excess carpeting along the wall. This will keep the edges straight and gives us a close cut. Using a stair tool or stiff putty knife, tuck the edges of the carpet underneath the baseboard along the wall.

Finally, install door edge strip in doorways to cover the carpet edge and make a transition into the next room. Replace your register covers and you are done!

As you can see, installing your own carpeting can be fairly easy if you have the right tools and instructions. So when you are getting ready for your next DIY flooring project, don't shy away from carpeting due to installation costs. Install it yourself and save some money!

Easy Cloning Method

Cloning your fruiting plants can be beneficial in many ways. First you get a plant that you know exactly how it responds and how to treat it. Secondly you will never need to purchase that plant ever again. Most people think it is very difficult to clone a plant and they are completely wrong. There is just a lot of misunderstanding out in the world on how to clone a plant. Most people consider plant cuttings very fragile which is the farthest thing from the truth. There are many products out there from rooting gels to humidity domes and starter cubes out there that you just don't need.

I do my cloning indoors; I purchase a small fluorescent light to use as a grow light. I just use an outdoor light fixture and a 20 watt bulb. I leave the light on 24 hours a day so there is no need for a timer. You are also going to need to purchase a small Rubbermaid container which is a bit deeper than a pencil length, same width and about a foot long. You can use bigger containers if you want to make a large amount of clones. Also stop by your local aquarium store and purchase a small air pump, an air wand that will fit on the bottom of your container and aquarium glue. You can purchase all of this for 20-30 dollars.

Now take the air wand and fix it to the bottom of the container with the aquarium glue. You can try other types of glue but I have found that aquarium glue holds the best. Now drill a small hole in the corner of the Rubbermaid lid to run an air line from the air pump to the air wand. Also drill four holes in the lid above the air wand to stick in the cuttings off of your plant. Now fill the container up full with water and place the lid back on. The container should be full of air bubbles.

Now take a cut of a branch of your plant that is young but has developed mature leaves. Should be about 2/3 the size of a pen. When you take the cut use a sterile pair of scissors. You can due this by placing a flame to your blade. Also make sure it is a sharp pair that makes a quick easy cut. Now just place the cutting through the holes that you drilled and make sure the top of the plant stays out of the water. Now leave it alone, in about a week you should see white roots coming from the cutting. Wait until there is multiple shootings of roots that are at least an inch long to use the cutting. Some plants will take up to 3 weeks to show roots. Once your cutting is ready place it in whatever growing medium you use. Just take it easy and let it adapt to its new surroundings for the first week and then treat it as normal.

I get about 90 percent success ratings with this method. I always take one or two more clones than I will need and throw out the ones that don't look as healthy. There are many of other ways to produce clones but I have tried plenty and this works best for me.

The Trinity

The Trinity of Scripture is a controversial subject among many in the Christian Community. I would estimate that (90% of the Christian Community believes in the Trinity.)

What is the Trinity? The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost(Spirit). We all know about the Father and The Son. So lets look at The Holy Ghost. The Bible calls Him by many different names, 1. The Holy Ghost. The Bible in the New Testament, list the Name of Holy Ghost 89 times, starting with, Matthew 1:18 and ending with, Jude 1:20
2. The Holy Spirit. 10 times beginning with, Luke 11:13 and ending with, 1Thessalonians 4:8.
3. The Spirit of truth. 4 times, John 14:17, 15:26, 16:13 and 1John 4:6. 4. The Comforter. 3 Times John 14:26, 15:26 and 16:7.

This is not to say that other examples are not listed but these others are spiritually discerned. The Most controversial scripture in the Bible concerning the Trinity is found in, Matthew 28:19, Jesus commanded the disciples to; Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

In this verse above all others, are the four words that has brought about this controversy; in the name of Many teach that there is not a Trinity because of these four words. They believe that these words signify a separation of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

I reject this teaching because of the multitudes of other verses that concur with the Trinity. What many don't understand is that The Holy Ghost(i.e. Spirit) is the Spirit of God. So how can God be separate from His own Spirit. Jesus gave us the answer to this when He stated in Matthew 10:20, For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. This spirit that He spoke of was the Holy Spirit, The Spirit of your Father.

1Th 4:8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his Holy Spirit. Jesus stated that He was in the Father and the Father was in Him and He and the Father were one, so How being that Jesus and the Father being one disavows the Holy Spirit being one also with Jesus and the Father, making up the Trinity?
We as human beings cannot separate our spirit from ourselves for the spirit within us is who we are. The Body is dead without the spirit. So there fore, God cannot be without His spirit, for God is spirit.
Lets look at Numbers 6:26, The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

Countenance is; to give assurance or courage to; to support; to aid by favor; to prevent from shame or dismay, to support; to encourage; to abet; to vindicate; by any means. Literally, the contents of a body; the outline and extent which constitutes the whole figure or external appearance. Appropriately, the human face; the whole form of the face, or system of features; visage. This is only done thru the Baptism in The Holy Ghost. As Jesus promised in,
1. John 14:16 Tells us that the Comforter, abides with you for ever.Denoting the Holy Ghost.
2. John 14:26 Tells us that the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost Replaced Jesus as the director of all truths in Scripture and in life., Who reminds us of all things Jesus taught.
3. John 15:26 Tells us that the Comforter proceeds (Comes From) from the Father(God), he(A Person) shall testify(To affirm or declare solemnly for the purpose of establishing a fact. To bear witness to; to support the truth of by testimony.) of me(Jesus):
4. Acts 8:15-17 Tells us how the Spirit of God is Received by the laying on of Hands. Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
(Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.)5. Gal 3:1-4 Tells us that the Spirit of God is received by Faith and not works. O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.
Acts 8:15-17 is showing us that the third part of the Trinity is vital to the salvation of man after the Baptism. We are indowed with three diferent spirits,
1. Our Soul Spirit.(Who we are.)
2. The Spirit of Christ(We have the Mind of Christ.) and
3. The Holy Spirit.(Ghost.Who takes controll of our Physical man and keeps him under bonds to Christ.)

Act 1:2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: Act 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. So as far as an excuse to use Matthew 28:19, to say that there is no trinity, we see by compareing scripture with scripture we can prove that there is and always was and will be a Holy Trinity.

Why is it more effective?

Because it does not waste the first 3 words of the title with meaningless garbage words like "top" or the number "9" or "ways"...and gets right to the important words that might be found when someone is using a search engine to research a topic related to your article.

You'll also notice in my example that I included the word "Private" Jet. Why? Because my keyword research said that people who search for fractional jet also search for the word "private jet" and therefore I wanted to boost the chances that my title would be found by a larger number of potential visitors to the article.

Two recommendations on what NOT to do:

1) Don't include garbage characters in your TITLE such as quotes, tildes, asterisks or anything else that a search engines has to work hard to discard in order to understand the TITLE of your article.

2) Do not engage in any search engine spam technique by having keyword rich TITLES that have nothing to do with the topic of your article. You'll only be hurting yourself as the search engines already aggressively filter out bad behavior like this.

How an Article Writing Challenge Killed Writer's Block

The holiday season is almost upon us and with the many different topics and ideas to write about are you still fighting writer's block? I found myself not long ago in this exact position. I knew there were articles to be written, but I didn't want to seem like I was regurgitating the same old thing.

Maybe you have the same problem as I do. I don't write consistently enough to have article ideas swimming in my head, but I would love to be able to write more consistently, wouldn't you?

What's the big deal about article writing? The big deal is the more articles you write and submit, the more backlinks and targeted traffic you will receive and on top of that higher search engine ranking. Plus, it's totally free advertising!

The best article marketers write on a very consistent basis like every day. These same article marketers make more sales and get more traffic. If they can do it, why can't we?

There are many different ways and places to find article writing ideas from questions on forums, newspaper, radio to TV, blogs, and articles written by others etc. Here's another method I found to have worked extremely well.

It's an article writing challenge. What it really does it holds you accountable in front of others. You can set your own challenge or accept and join another challenge with other participants who make it more fun and you can get all the rooting and support you need. It forces you to think really hard about the topics to write about and it really pushes you to think of new ideas. That's the push you really need when you're in a writing slump.

I was reluctant to accept the article writing challenge when the opportunity presented itself because well...I was stuck. How in the world would I manage to squeeze out 10 holiday articles by the end of November when I couldn't write one from my own? I also knew if I didn't accept it, I wouldn't get out of my writing problem.

The fact is article writing is effective only if you write consistently and you can write consistently by accepting an article writing challenge. The more you write, the easier it becomes and the less you have to deal with writer's block.

The Choice is Yours

Life is about choice ... you know free choice. A lot is said about choice and demonstrated even more daily. Like a fast food eatery we make command decisions every moment of every day. What? Your day is not that demanding where you have to continually think? Well, maybe not on the outside but what about the inside? Is you mind, which exists in every part of your physical body, on auto pilot... lets hope not. If it is, you can tell if your auto pilot is heading in the right direction by looking around yourself... your world.

Your life is nothing more than a reflection, an outpicture of what you are inside, along with your thoughts and beliefs. Those relationships that are not serving you, teaching you what you don't deserve... that job you hate, teaching you a higher truth... that nagging back pain on the left side that you think is because of something you did by turning the wrong way... all these things are attracted to you by you so that you can make a choice.

So when you awoke this morning of this wonderful day, how did you define your day? Did you visualize what your day would be like, did you take the time to reset the picture of your masterpiece called life desire in your mind's eye or did you jump out of bed and start running? See, occurrences, experiences, accidents and coincidences are nothing more than your outpicture of that masterpiece experienced with your five senses in this four dimensional world of width, length, depth and time...not the other way around. Whether you do so consciously or unconsciously matters not.

No one is a victim and things don't just happen to you! Being a victim is certainly the easy way out because then, you would not have to take responsibility for your creations. However, you will eventually be brought kicking and screaming back to the same place, and then back again and again until you begin to get it. Understand that everything has a vibration and we are like big radio transmitters, attracting similar vibrations whether doing it consciously or unconsciously. It does not alter certain immutable laws in this Universe nor the quantum soup. These laws are unerring and perfectly exacting and they start with your choice.

Are you the master of your emotions or are your emotions the master of you? There is a split second in any moment of your day when you choose to either be the master or not... let me give you an example.

Let's take Joyce for instance. Joyce is a mid aged housewife who has been a bit ill in her life (also a vibration) but in the past few years she has come to a point where she's afraid to go out of the house... believing that her sickness can leave her stranded. As her fear grows she attracts occurrences to support her fears (another low vibration). Fear is a strong creator and this low vibration will attract other lower vibrations and experiences. This is a vicious circle and the saddest thing is that Joyce really believes that this is all just happening to her (victim mentality), rather than taking responsibility for her creation, thus taking back her power.

I had the opportunity of speaking to Joyce a couple of weeks ago just by chance. As a lifecoach I have observed clients change their life dramatically for the highest good just by reprogramming their thoughts and beliefs. Unfortunately, until you make the decision to, nothing changes. It is like a being in the Matrix!

Every word that came from her mouth was an affirmation of her victim mentality. She was totally convinced that this is just the way it was and that she has always been this way, in fear etc. I suggested that she change her mind and pointed out her affirmations being the opposite of her desires... instead she hunkered down and with some very powerful words, took no responsibility for what she has created nor did she believe that by her thoughts... she could change her life. Changing her beliefs and thoughts were unheard of... like an iceman frozen in the Arctic.

Choice... it is all about choice in every moment. What would have happened in the sea of all possibilities if Joyce would have said to her emotion of fear, "Back to your place you ... I am the master here and you are not, I choose to know that I am always safe! There are no safe places just safe people!" Well, that low life would cower like the weak manipulator it is. Joyce would begin to know who she really is; an amazing powerful being that could create anything in her life including health, wholeness and happiness, absent of the lower vibrations such as fear and sickness.

Many masters over the ages have brought the same message but unfortunately, it is more of a history lesson than an explanation of these mysteries for those who teach it to the masses. Quantum physics has proven that everything we are, around us... everything at the smallest level is energy packets. We are all the same stuff...a sea of Quantum Soup. In the laboratory it is proven that as soon as an experiment is observed it changes. YES, just observing, putting attention and focus changes the experiment. We are all connected and part of all there is.

With each decision you define yourself. Your decisions, your thoughts, your beliefs all have a vibration like a magnet. It is with our beliefs and thoughts that we make our choices. With a cluttered mind of useless garbage i.e. fear... it is like trying to get to a specific tool in a garage of clutter and disarray. You trip over one useless thing after another trying to get to the tool you really desire. You have to continually clean up each mess, taking your focus away from what you were after, until you really don't remember what that was. Take the time to clean up your mind. In clearer terms, clean up your thought patterns and beliefs. Get out of that victim mentality and take back your power. Only you can do this. Take responsibility for everything around you... everything!

It takes inner work and focus to clean that cluttered garage but once you do, you can easily get to that specific tool with a bit of focus. If any low vibration emotions try to be the master, put them in their place... out the door of your mind, and of course... always remember who you are.

Creation Versus Evolution - Critical Thinking and Religion

You rarely hear the word evolution among scientists anymore and creation seems to be too far-fetched for any educated person to make sense out of. How the world started and where the universe came from has been one of the secrets that even the most educated people on the planet seem to have problem solving.

Creation states that God created the world in seven days. Evolution states that man has evolved from apes. Anyone could make sense out of both of them and with that in mind, we could tear each one of them apart with very little effort. It's hard to imagine modern man believes in either one of them but there are millions of people who do. Christians, Hindus, Judaism and of course the Nation of Islam.

How could we ever prove that God created the earth? I guess if someone invented a time machine, we could go back in the past and watch these events taking place but how would we know for sure, this is actually what we were seeing and would we be able to tell the difference between an illusion and the truth. If you choose to base your review of creation entirely on faith, I have some oceanfront property in Utah I would like to show you.

Evolution doesn't seem to fare much better than creation when it comes to proving scientifically that it's true. A hundred years ago, some of our greatest teachers were convinced that evolution could very easily replace the theory of creation. Nowadays it almost seems like something from our past, something like Greek mythology. At one time people on this planet believed in Greek and Roman gods but they are kind of a joke, while religions like Christianity seem to be gaining more ground.

Evolution is missing more than one link, they're missing links that link the other links together. The theory that our world was created by God makes more sense to me than the theory of evolution. However, if there was a God or being so powerful, why wouldn't this supreme entity intervene on our planet and eliminate hunger.

It's hard to imagine that either one of these theories are entirely true but at the same time each one of these theories could be stepping stones on our ladder of education towards the truth. I'm sure that one day we will know the truth but for now I will choose not to endorse either one of them 100%.

Most people read a book and if it's good, they might recommend it to someone else, but if the book is great, you can guarantee they will recommend it to everyone who is interested or who they think might be interested in the book. In the field of personal development, one book comes to mind, it's called, "You Can Have It All" by Arnold Patent.

I found the book in one of our antique thrift stores and paid less than $10 for it, I really didn't think much of it and never heard of Arnold Patent before. We've all heard of Anthony Robbins, Susie Orman, Wayne Dyer, but I never heard of Arnold Patent. I skimmed through the book and it looked like a short read. I read the book in about six hours and plan to reread the book, as soon as I get it back for my daughter. The book has short chapters, most of them less than five pages.

Looking at the short chapters, you could get the impression, that there isn't very much information in each chapter, how could there be with less than five pages and some chapters less than three pages. This was very deceiving to me, because each paragraph, was like a chapter and each chapter was like a small book.

The book is full of tools and advice and combines personal development with spirituality. He has chapters on meditation, energy, enjoying what you love to do for the rest of your life, cause and effect, abundance, attachment, pain and suffering, harmony, karma the past and forgiveness.

I can't tell you what a pleasure it was to read this book and if you're looking for some basics on quite a few motivational, spiritual and laws of attraction topics, this book has almost everything you need to get you interested in changing your life. You could actually read one chapter a day and think about it for the rest of the week, there's that much information in each chapter.

I was reading one of his recommendations and it was from Oprah Winfrey, she said, "It was one of the most important books that I had ever read." That's coming from one of the most successful people in the entertainment business. I stumbled across this book and might not have ever found it, but I'm telling you about it and highly recommend it.

Religious Thought - Are You Confused About Heaven?

As a young boy and even into my early adult hood, I asked almost every one that I knew, what they thought heaven was going to be like. These people painted me the most wonderful and beautiful pictures, with the words coming out of their mouths. One woman told me that heaven was going to be the most wonderful place you could ever imagine. She told me that, I would be able to do anything that I wanted to do at any time of the day or night.

All I can say to this, is why are we afraid to die and why do we put that much effort into staying here, when heaven sounds like the place we all want to be. This becomes very confusing during troubled times. We live our whole life to be the best we can possibly be, and then and only then do we get to enter the kingdom of heaven, the most wonderful place in the universe.

Another man told me that, if I wanted to go to heaven, the more good deeds I did on earth, the better buy chances were of actually entering heaven. He said that some people don't get to go, because they did a couple of bad things or maybe one really, really bad thing, like murder. I often wondered what would be worse, murder or painting demonic symbols on the walls of a church, mosque or synagogue. I hope I'm not confusing you anymore than organized religions.

Well now that I have a pretty good idea, that in order to enter into heaven, I need to do good things... that's what I will do for the rest of my life. Sounds simple doesn't it. Now for the bad news, depending on which religion you choose to follow and don't forget that Christianity is one religion that allows you, something special, right before you die, no matter how bad of a person you were to accept Jesus Christ into your heart and accept him as the Almighty God, and this gets you one free pass into heaven.

Am I confusing you at all, does this make sense? When the man told me, that, the only way I would get to go to heaven was by doing good deeds and then the Bible tells me that, I just need to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and I get to go to the promised land, heaven. All right now were talking, this sounds pretty good now. I won't have to do very many good things and before I die can ask forgiveness for all the bad things I did.

I don't know what's true, but I can say that it gets a little confusing and as you go from religion to religion and place of worship to other places of worship, you will hear different stories, from different religious leaders. I can't make much sense out of some religions, but if you want to believe in heaven, there is someone out there who can paint you, the most wonderful picture of heaven in your mind. Whether we really get to go there or not, depends on what you want to believe in.

I wrote this article to get people thinking about the choices they've made and the religions they choose to follow. Is your religion right and others are wrong? Ask yourself this one question, think back, to when you made a conscious choice to follow the religion you're in right now, if any, most of the time you started believing as a child and never really got to choose because your parents, teachers, friends, family or guardians made a choice for you.

Self Help Technique to Developing a Stronger Vocabulary

We all know that people who have a stronger command of the English Language are considered smart and intelligent. This means more people are willing to listen to them and hear their words, even confide in them with problems and ask for solutions. If you can increase your vocabulary, you will find yourself and your career moving up in the world.

But how can one go about increasing their vocabulary, isn't that an awful lot of work and rote memorization you ask? Well, yes it is some work and yes, you will have to memorize many new words to insure that your new vocabulary is proficient and yet if you will apply a tactical program to combat this problem and a long-term approach, you will find yourself well on your way.

The best way I have found to increase my vocabulary is to take one page in the dictionary each day and read those words 10 times throughout the day, and make sure you use each word twice in a sentence or an email throughout the day. You will have to get rather creative to do this, but that makes it fun. I recommend you get a small dictionary with no more than 365 pages.

Believe me there will be plenty of new words you can add even in a small dictionary. The words that are hardest to use in a sentence are the words that are least likely used and thus, you will actually remember them much easier. Please think on this self-help technique and strategy to assist you in developing a stronger vocabulary and please start today!

Oh and if someone asks you why you are carrying around a dictionary all the time, tell them, they may also need to increase their vocabulary and will surely thank you later, they always do.

Powerful Beliefs in the Bible - How Powerful Exactly is the Bible

If you're a Christian, you probably believe in the Holy Bible and take it for granted, that this is the written Word of God. Here's a book that most people look upon as very sacred. I don't know if they do it anymore, but in a court of law, they would ask you to swear upon the Bible and to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help you God.

I would assume that this would generate fear in a prospective liar that was a Christian, but if you are a Muslim could you lie or should they switch the Bible to the Koran. Some things don't make sense do they. This made sense to me at one time and I even used this to gather some information from a nine year old boy at one time. I was amazed at how fast he told me the truth, when I pulled out a Bible and was going to have him swear to me that he wasn't lying. Try that one with your children.

I have seen Bible's in museums, on pedestals in churches and visible as you enter someone's home or bedroom. Are the Bibles that are located in people's homes to send you a strong sign of their faith. Do any of these Bibles ever get used or are they just there for looks?

Looking upon the Bible as a sacred symbol can create a sense of comfort and fear. At one time, I believed the Bible was some sort of sacred book and needed to be touched very delicately. I often wondered as a child if I accidentally tore out a page of the Bible, if I would have to spend an eternity burning in a lake of fire.

Are Bibles made at special factories and does each one of them need to be blessed or put in special shipping boxes before they are sent out to be sold or given away? I wonder if they use holy water during the printing procedure, if water is actually required. Do you think the paper come from special trees and are these trees grown on holy ground, maybe in a special forests guarded by angels. This is starting to sound like the makings for a good movie.

People can form powerful beliefs about other objects as well as the Bible. You should think about, some of the things you used to believe in and some of the things you still believe, then compare the two. Some of my old beliefs no longer serve me in a positive way. The Bible is just a book and should be treated like any other book. If the pages get ripped ripped fix them, if the bindings get loose repair them and if they become hard to read or have seen better days, replace them.

Attract More Love & Romance By Altering Your Perceptual Position

If you want to learn more about how to attract the attention of others and to attract more love into your life, it can help to alter and vary the position of your perception of your self and others.

How do you view your self? I want to run an idea past you about how you perceive the world around you and your self. Your perception of any experience depends on the position from which you perceive it. I am going to mention three positions here that are useful to you with developing attraction and enhancing the love in your life.

They are known quite simply as the first, second and third positions.

- In the first position you are in your own body, looking out through your own eyes, seeing things from your own point of view.

- Being in the second position means stepping into someone elses shoes, imagining what it is like to be them, looking at the world through their eyes.

- The third position is taking the stance of a third person that is viewing events in which you are involved, a bit like being a fly on the wall (how many times have I wanted to do that?).

You see, taking different perceptual positions enables you to step out of what you are currently experiencing and experience your self in a fresh, new light. It can spice up your perception of your self and make it easier to understand what others perceive in you and how to make you easier to lavish lots of love upon. It allows you to see yourself from a different perspective and gather different kinds of information about your self.

You can also keep a keen eye on how your own behaviour might be affecting other people, and then of course how they might feel about you. Taking different positions enables you to access information that your unconscious mind already has that you may have been overlooking. You can be aware of things that you may not have had a conscious awareness of previously.

So, how about in addition to having your ongoing experience of life solely seeing from inside your own eyes in the first position; you wonder what it is like to be someone else in the same situation, from the second position? Look at your self and see what it is that you can love about your self and you will no doubt find it much easier to ensure you get lots of love without waiting for Valentines day to come around.

Imagine how other people might see you; this is especially useful if that person was someone you know to have a good level of self-esteem and love in their life too.

Thirdly then, see yourself and others as if from an outside perspective, looking at the larger picture as in the third position. Then you can think of using this idea of taking different perceptual positions when you encounter any kind of conflict or when planning a project or evaluating a situation or if you ever feel stuck on something or you are ever in need of a bit more love and want to find more things to enjoy about your self and your life.

Loving your self is like growing and developing self-esteem and confidence in your self and helps with so many things that you and your personal development will benefit from.

When you truly appreciate how others perceive you and update your behaviours accordingly, you can discover how easy it is for others love you more. Enjoy experiencing life from a new perceptual position.

Lethargy. When you really just can't be bothered to do anything apart from lounge around like a couch potato and even that's really a bit too much effort.

There are occasions when it's OK to feel lethargic. For instance, when you're recovering from an illness or a long project at work or an arduous sporting event. Your body needs time to relax and recuperate.

The problem is when you feel lethargic all the time...

So what can you do to get yourself back into the go getter you used to be?

And be wary about drinking them too close to bed time. The same goes for alcohol - this has all sorts of side effects and could be hindering your recovery from lethargy.
